I am an older fan , so a bit conservative in change just to change. In watching the NCAA tourney, to get to the 16 level we have a ways to go. There were a lot of good players on the floor, which we could not match at this time. I am not sure we will ever have many one and done's.

I think the key to build the program is the coaches ability at KSU. WIth this i mean the X and O's
You have to be a good coach, at ksu: it is better to have a good coach, as it will be difficult to find a coach that can recruite the best players.

If Bruce is that kind of guy, he will be successful at KSU. That is the WSU story, that is the Gene Keady story at purdue, that is the Lon Kruger story, ect. The focus is to get the program balanced in numbers per class, get two or three good players a year, then blend them in with the seniors.

I think this is the only way to bring KSU basketball back. We had a little time of success with the higher level of players, but did not last. Long term i am not sure it would have lasted. even with Huggins, as it was a one time shot for Coach Huggins. With that said as I do think Huggins is a good coach, and could work in the system that i have outlined above as a coach, but with not as talented of players

If Bruce is that kind of coach he should stay, and rework the team. If he is not it is time to move on.

I think its better to see what he can do, then just hire another coach. ( i do like underwood if bruce is not the guy, as i think he qualifies in the above coach vs recruits outline.

Althought Football is not Basketball, i remember when Glen Mason was to be be a better coach then Snyder. One was a coaches coach, one had the defensive line of the century he could not replace.

With that i feel we should keep Bruce, but only if he would sit down during games. He needs to let other recruit, and stay close to the players.

Just some ramblings.
