This team is so overwhelmingly talentless that it really is comical. KSU has ZERO talent at WR or TE & those are two positions that Andre Coleman & Del Miller RAVED about during the pre-season. Now, you can say that’s just coach talk & maybe it was. But it was also a bulls**t move by the coaches to say something that mind-numbingly stupid & to think that us as KSU fans would not realize it.
Let’s look at the WR position, shall we? Three of the six players on the depth chart are WALKONS!!! Think about that. One of the most obvious positions where you need speed & KSU doesn’t have any! The receivers can’t get open because they aren’t talented enough & when they do, they drop several passes a game because they aren’t talented enough. For three years now we’ve heard how talented Deante Burton is, NO HE’S NOT!! He’s now a junior, can’t get open, can’t catch the ball & does not have any breakaway speed. Now, I like Andre Coleman, I like him a LOT. He is the only coach that is recruiting true 100% Power 5 conference talent. But when he said that this WR position had more talent then any other receiving corps at KSU, I mean come on. Really? You just graduated two 1,000 receivers & one of them was Tyler Lockett.
On to the TE position. Again, we heard bulls**t remarks from Del Miller about Small & Valentine having more talent than any other TE’s at KSU. Again, they can’t catch the ball & can’t get open. So then what are they really talented at? I honestly believe that the best pass catcher that KSU has is Gronk, but he is being passed over by Dimel at FB. So then why not move him to TE where you can really take advantage of his size & speed?
The O-line has been a disaster for the last couple of years. I thought that they played well against OSU & TCU, but they have really gone down hill the since 2012.
I’m not as concerned about the RB position, but more concerned with our coaching decisions. Why does Silmon get as few carries as he does? Why doesn’t Warmack get any? Is it because he thought about transferring before this year? Is this punishment? I like Dimel at FB, but the carries he gets are definitely head scratching for sure.
I like the D-line & LB’s are ok. I’m not as upset about the MLB position as others, because I’ve seen Sizelove out of position on plays.
Secondary (outside of Shelley) is an embarrassment. Burns is getting torched weekly, Jackson is bad, Prewett is young & inexperienced & I don’t know what KSU has in Newlan.
But again, KSU has very little talent & even less speed on this team!!
