A month ago, AG Merrick Garland announced the Justice Dept would begin investigating recent acts of "violence" committed by parents at public school board meetings. As part of the probe, a letter produced by the National School Board Association was the main source of justification. In it, the NSBA labeled parents as "domestic terrorists", but produced zero actual evidence of any kind of violence. Most of what they pointed to were belligerent parents being escorted from school premises.
Well...........now the NSBA following backlash is backtracking their comments and apologizing for the non-justified language used in the letter. To make things even more interesting, Merrick Garland admitted before Congress a couple weeks ago that the letter from the NSBA was the primary reason for starting the Justice Dept probe. And to bring it around full circle, it's been reported that the Biden Admin consulted the NSBA in the original draft of the letter, itself.
This is what ACTUAL weaponization of the justice dept looks like.
Lastly, we ought to thank Mitch McConnell for blocking Merrick Garland's SCOTUS appointment. He's been noting but a partisan hack as an AG. I can't imagine what he'd be like as a member of the SCOTUS.

National School Boards Association sorry for 'language' in letter that likened parents to domestic terrorists
The National School Boards Association issued an apology for a letter sent to the Biden administration which targeted parents who are concerned over their child's school curriculum and seemingly related their actions to that of domestic terrorists.
