There are many issues with college basketball (flow of games, referees, uglyness of recruiting, poor fundamentals etc) but can they please reduce the number of division 1 college basketball teams? There are roughly 350 division 1 teams and they should cut that number to at least 200. Games like right night serve absolutely no purpose besides patting the win column of a coach most of us don’t like. It’s cool to see the cinderella stories each year for a couple days but l would rather watch more interesting non con matchups.
Every school has these type of opponents and Bruce puts more than enough on the schedule each year. I can’t even remember the last non con P5 opponent or a team worth a shit K-State played at the bram which wasn’t Big12/SEC challenge related. Even the Big 12/SEC challenge games have been a turd for the most part (ole miss, tenn, Georgia) because nobody has the balls to schedule South Carolina and K-State.
