Just saw this morning the NCAA tournament schedule will differ from the past. Has anyone heard why? Maybe simply to provide a little more time to recover from any possible virus cases? Maybe this is going to be the new schedule going forward? The change of the second weekend games makes the most sense -- regional semi-finals (4 games each day) moving to the weekend and regional finals (2 games each day) moving to Monday and Tuesday.
First Four games -- all 4 to be played on Thursday, March 18 instead of 2 on Tuesday and 2 on Wednesday. I assume all four will funnel into Saturday first round games.
First and second rounds -- Friday thru Monday instead of Thursday thru Sunday.
Regional semi's and finals -- Saturday thru Tuesday instead of Thursday thru Sunday.
Final Four -- Traditional Saturday/Monday.
