Public Service Announcement: In that north south strip center behind Rays Apple market with the various restaurants. Ate at Qvondayz last night (Q is the moms name, Von is the son, Dayz is the daughter). Very low budget place but VERY authentic. Owned and operated by a mom and son from Louisiana. Its the real thing. I had red beans and rice with sausage. It was really good. I was sweating by the end of the meal. Its got spice in it. I would suggest asking before ordering how long each meal will take to prepare. They cook everything fresh after its ordered. My red beans took 30 min as did my wifes order. Some friends at another table ordered other items and it took an hour. So don't be in hurry. There are playing cards on each table. Have live jazz on Thur pm and will start having Zydeco in July. I will certainly go back and take friends. Based on the history of restaurants making it in that area I think its best to go there soon and enjoy it. Have some awesome desserts. Hot begnets were super
