Anyone have any thoughts on the NFL ratings falling? I hadn't seen a thread about it yet.
I think there are probably a lot of factors that play into it, but I think one reason I'm not watching 2 or so games a week anymore is because of the players.
I get tired of their antics and drama, when all I'm really looking for from the NFL is a release. The NFL is a way to wind down on a Thursday night, or Sunday night before the work week starts again, I don't care to hear all about the players personal drama, their stance on politics in America, etc...
To me, it can get to the point where I'm more frustrated after watching a game because of all the non-football related stuff surrounding each game.
I think the new rules have also made the game more safe, but I miss watching WR's get laid out going across the middle.
