I just sat next to a very nice gentleman on a flight whose son is a KSU football player. Don't ask his name because I won't share it. A few things of interest that he shared with me (take for whatever it's worth):
1. Insiders have told him that Bret Bielema is still in play as a potential coach after HCBS retires. There is still a lot of mutual respect between Bret and Coach and all is not rosey for Bret at Arkansas.
2. HCBS is in "CEO" mode. Most of the responsibility for running things on a day-to-day basis has been delegated. He said his son only spoke directly to HCBS three times last season.
3. Sean Snyder has great respect among the players. It was not suggested that anyone thinks that necessarily makes him a candidate for the head coaching job.
That is all.
