Those of you who know Victor Hanson know he is a classics scholar who was born and raised in California and has been a professor there for many years. You also know he is a conservative who has been extremely critical of the President, especially in foreign policy.
If you just step back from the politics of it, and read this article at arms length, I think Hanson is making an interesting point. I would add that if you really viewed it the way Hanson thinks Obama does, you would need to realize it is a long term project as well, supporting point 4 that you don't get too hung up in day to day short term events.
