We have struggled with WR recruiting going all the way back to 2009 and the start of Snyder 2.0. Really can't put a finger on why but for what ever reason we have had a lot of failure with WR's we have signed.

2009
Harper - transfer QB who ended up as stud WR
Kennard - didn't qualify
T. Miller - originally recruited as a DB
T. Thompson - orginally recruited as a RB
Sh. Smith - juco

2010
Sexton
D. Mosley - gone after a couple of years

2011
Lockett
K. Klein - recruited as a DE
Cathey - didn't come
S. West - post signing day scramble that hasn't paid off

2012
Burton - we'll see
Marquez Clark - juco who didn't show up.
J. Jones - didn't pan out
V. Vaughn - decided to just be a student after a year

2013
L. Gordon - legacy kid that left after a year

2014
D. Heath - hoping for the best
T. Ahrens - got booted after one semester
A. Davis - juco that hasn't panned out so far

2015
Rueter
Goolsby - RB being moved to WR
Zuber
K. Heath - Ath getting first test at RB but I think he will eventually end up here

2016 verbals so far
Renders
Sutton

2009 - 2014 = 19 guys
1 - Record setting All-American (TLock)
3 - All Conference guys (Harper, Thompson, Sexton)
2 - serviceable WR (Miller, Smith)
4 - still with a shot to produce (Klein, Burton, Davis, D. Heath)
1 - on roster for 5 years and never playing (West)
8 - never showed, quit, kicked off, transferred (Kennard, Mosley, Cathey, Clark, Jones, Vaughn, Gordon, Ahrens)

One can only hope our true Freshmen from the 2015 class will do something and Coleman can improve the WR recruiting.

Makes me wonder... how hard is it to recruit top WR's against all of the high flying wide open offenses being run all over the country?
