I don't want to read too much into last night, but it did follow a bit of trend that we've seen this year (and last) - that being our performance against teams with a tough, fundamentally sound defense and how it affects our own defense.
Our offense has gone stagnant plenty of times against all different sorts of styles, but it seems like whenever we get punched in the mouth early on on that end - we panic and/or lose intensity. And that, at least in a number of instances (not always), has bled into our focus on defense.
Again, not trying to draw too much from that single outing (especially without Dean) and maybe it's partially due to so much inexperience/lack of continuity on the perimeter in particular (very possible), but I think it's something to really keep an eye on if we want to compete at the very top of the conference next year.
