Planned Parenthood hired an independent research firm called Fusion GPS to review the videos for legal implications. You can say they would slant in favor of PP because they paid them but this, because it looks at legal culpability, would be more likely to be factual as PP will want to know its risk. It was also headed up by a former WSJ reporter and spoke of areas where the videos were factual, like saying there was no audio manipulation.
But the crux of the report, found here, is that the videos were heavily edited to obscure the true meaning of what was being said and that the "errors, discrepancies, and omissions" in the official transcripts render them useless.
The edited videos "take a great deal of dialog out of context so as to substantively and significantly alter the meaning."
This of course comports with other journalists findings and anyone who watched both the long and short films, but is unlikely to stem the witch hunt.
