It's hard to fathom how bad public education (both local k-12 and college) is being gutted right now in the state of Kansas.
From a K-State perspective, we are trying to reach our 2025 goals while undergoing a Brownback announced $6.2 million budget cut through 2017 (with likely more to come).
How hard do you think it is to recruit quality professors from out of state to K-State and KU right now with the national news that is out there about Kansas politics right now?
We are doing irreparable harm to public education in this state.
Hopefully this thread does not turn in to bashing and personal insults. I am not trying to make this a political thread, but there is no disputing that the actions in Topeka are going to negatively affect our Alma-mater (let alone our local schools).
