With the latest news, our depth at QB is now down to zero.
But I look at this like CK and the difference between 2011 and 2012.
In 2011 we just about ran CK into the ground. I have no idea how he even played the Okie St game. Dude was beat up....
But in 2012, we knew how important CK was and his exposure to big hits went way down. Year over year, his carries were down by 35%.
In 2011, CK had 317 carries (24.4 carries per game), while Hubert had 200 and Pease had 36. Overall CK had 317/595 carries (53%).
In 2012, CK had 207 carries (15.9 carries per game), while Hubert had 189, Pease had 60, and Sams had 32. Overall CK had 207/517 carries (40%). And a lot of his runs ended with him running out of bounds or avoiding big hits....

LHCBS will now have to do the same for Broadway Joe. Several on GPC had already been saying this after the UTSA game. Now it has to happen.
I see heavy doses of Silmon between the 20's and Jones running the Wildcat inside the 10 (although that drives me nuts).
The goal needs to be Broadway Joe having no more than 10-15 carries per game. If we do that, he can stay healthy and the team can be very good. Otherwise, he won't hold up through the Big XII.....

Silmon getting 16-20 carries per game is the silver lining, which also allows Broadway Joe to stay healthy.
