Taking the following paragraph from D-Scott.
Here's why: I choose nine because K-State has scored exactly nine points in its last 24 possessions over the last two games in what is the program's worst two-game scoring drought in the last 24 years. Even Bill Snyder can't remember anything quite like it.
In the last 24 years, when has K-State had a worst situation at QB ?
A post last week asked what K-State's record would be with Boykin at QB.
Answer: 6 & 1 .... perhaps even 7 & 0.
I know that Joe Hubener is giving it his all and as fans we should appreciate as much.
It's not due to lack of effort or preparation that Joe is struggling. I believe Joe has loss some confidence that as hurt his play as well (the first step is always believing).
The hard truth: Joe is not a D-1 quarterback.
Note: 99.5% of us are not D-1 quaterbacks...ha
For heaven's sake, Joe was not a high school QB.
Again, you can criticize Snyder & his staff for not having a better situation at QB. And no one knows if Ertz would be tearing things up at QB, but I have a feeling he would be playing solid. Delton would be making freshman mistakes, but I gotta believe he would be doing better option at QB.
I just can't remember when K-State had a worst situation at QB.
Some fans were not crazy about Carson Coffman at QB, but Carson was much much better than Hubener's recent performances.
Here's hoping that Joe can play well against Baylor (or Delton is ready to go).
GO STATE !!
