I know we are missing out on a few guys we offered after our elite 8 runs. But honestly guys the chances of us landing these guys late in the game is always a bit low.
The biggest thing I think a lot of fans do not take into account is in a recruits eyes an elite 8 run is awesome yes, but I know a lot of guys look at sustained success. Which is why it's tough to beat the xavier's, Villes, KU's of the world.... say we have a sweet 16 run or another elite 8 next year I think it validates the upward trend in recruites eyes as opposed to an anomaly once every 8 years or so.
We lost out on Smith to Mizzou which sucks, he was my favorite to snag... not sure why honestly. I think Mizzou is a hot mess right now.
The other kid to WSU makes sense. He had his mind made up before we offered.
You do have to commend BW and the staff for getting out there and recruiting hard. But give us another year or two of successful runs and I can assure you the Smith's , Moyers and Tarkes of the world will start coming.
