Going to be the next KState men's basketball coach?

Then we learned of a guy Tim recommended that we eventually hired in Wooly. The anger of the fanbase at the time for not getting Tim. Sports radio was a buzz. Kietz was throwing bones left and right.

As a fanbase we have taken our share of twists and turns within coaching searches.

Then Tim Weiser shocks us later with the Huggins hire that forever changed our basketball program at that time. Huggins then abruptly leaves following one season in Manhattan after amassing 5 star headlining recruiting class. While keeping the recruiting class together, they knew Martin or Hill would be the only hope to keep it together. Martin's resume as a head coach dated back to his high school days. Many people questioned the hire long term if he could make it outside that one year. While things didn't work out between him and Currie. Martin leaves for the sec and eventually takes the team to the final four. Only after a few tough seasons at SC .

It is easy to get hung up in the moment, and while many of us have to start somewhere to prove ourselves that many think can't be achievable. It may be Klieman and it also may end up not being him. Things change quickly.

Many people feel Klieman potential is outside the level he is currently playing. Ndsu teammakers boosters have been texting me today feeling something is up. If Klieman goes then their DC will likely get the head coaching job. So not all the entire staff for Klieman would come with him . Buzz seems to be serious and to announce after quarterfinals game tomorrow. Ndsu athletic Dept offered no comment regarding Klieman and the kstate job .

While my heart was filled with excitement after the Huggins hire by Weiser, I will still never forget the free Time Weiser hot dogs at the basketball game they ran out of on a cold December evening at the Bram! Huggins hired saved you Weiser.

Gene, don't let the fanbase down by running of hot dogs no matter who you decide on as head coach. It may not seem like it could be real, but supporting our current players through this transition is critical . If it is Klieman he is going to need some support before he even plays a game . We are all avid fans that watch from afar and are invested in the program, but just remember the players and support staff that are fully vested in the program and need our support as well. Hang in there all.
