Caught a brief glance on Fox News of a group of Congressmen talking about the shooting yesterday. I thought Congressman Marshall from the Big First was on the end in a purple and white checked shirt, but it had LSU on the pocket. Does he have a look alike? He started to talk and the session ended. I think he is a pitcher for the R side, but wasn't there for the practice. Moran was to play, but also wasn't there from what I hear.
Too bad that nuts like the shooter are around, but if we value our freedom...that's the price. I just finished the book, The Flight, about Lucky Lindy's flight. The author was describing the need for a hero just after The War. Only 90+ years ago. Some congressional secretary opened a box in the Capitol bldg. Blew her arms off and severely damaged her face. The police called the Post Office to see if the package could be traced. 'Oh, my God!' was the answer. The clerk had put 39 others in the corner because they didn't have enough postage and was going to work on them later. Things don't change, just memories.
