I rise to defend this deeply flawed but exciting basketball team. They have no functional bigs, no bench, and no support from their fan base. They can not close at the rim, protect the rim, or rebound.. They had non competitive early games, crushing losses in close games, and were written off as a lock for last place in the toughest league in the land.
And yet, here they are in the mix for a post season berth. They have the best guard play since Evens and Williams, a dude impersonating Oscar Robertson, and a coach with as more conference championships than all previous coaches combined over the past 45 years. They are winning my play hard chard chart.
Hate all you want, I am warming up the bus and getting behind the driver, Big Daddy Bruce. It appears the players already are on board.
