can be directly attributed to Danny Duffy pitching like a #1, Ventura seemingly getting control of his emotions and pitches, Volquez and Kennedy turning in workman like performances. The question remains, What about #5 pitcher? Last night Ned rolled out a formula which might be very workable. It was CY for 4 and 2, thirds, Gee for several and Soria for 2. The bullpen regulars were not available. If this continues we can all rest easier.
The offense is getting plenty of base hits, just not with runners in scoring position. You gotta love merrifield, makes a fan wonder why it took so long to bring him up.
Can`t wait to see more of Eibner, as he might be the right handed power bat the outfield needs.
Anybody have any thoughts or other ideas?
