Someone brought up in another thread a while back, I forget who, that SEC schools have a distinct postseason advantage in bowl location. Obviously the South is warmer and suitable for bowls, no conspiracy theory here, just an observation.
The SEC plays only 1 bowl that's out of their geography, and that's in neighboring North Carolina (Belk Bowl)
Music City Bowl - Tennessee
Liberty Bowl - Tennessee
Citrus Bowl - Florida
Outback Bowl -Florida
Gator Bowl -Florida
Birmingham Bowl -Alabama
Sugar Bowl -Louisiana
Texas Bowl -Texas
Cotton Bowl -Texas
ACC has 5 bowl games in their geography, Orange Bowl, Peach Bowl, Pinstripe Bowl, Russell Athletic, and Belk Bowl
PAC has 4 bowl games in their geography, Foster Farms, Holiday, Rose, and Cactus.
The BigXII only has 2 bowls in our geography, Alamo & Texas.
The B1G has 1 bowl in their geography, Motor City Bowl.
I know, earth shattering news, but I think it does play a role in postseason performances....simply food for thought.
