from 2 to 6 ... concerning the ku story.

I was driving home tonight listening to Petro on 810.
Petro basically said that it's not big deal... ku did nothing different than "most" programs, they just happen to get caught on the FBI tapes that were presented in court.
I don't know about "MOST" programs.
Of course there are a number of dirty programs out there, but "most" programs do not cheat at ku's level. I would like to think that K-State and Bruce Weber do not lie and cheat.

Petro did talk about how long it will take for all of this to unfold (probably 12 to 14 months and he is probably right). ku has 3 months to appeal... then NCAA has 2 months to answer... then a hearing... then ku can appeal the hearing...etc...etc..

In short, Petro was placing his lips squarely on the back-end of ku fans everywhere, by trying to act like it wasn't a big deal... that ku was being treated unfairly...etc...etc.
He did at least admit that the NCAA might be making a statement at ku's expense.
Petro was giving ku fans a hug today and telling them it was going to be okay.

Had Kietzman still been on the radio, he would have been having a field day, he would have invited guests with expert opinions on to the show to talk about the facts & charges ...etc...etc...etc.
And you know what's ironic about it, a lot of ku fans would have tuned-in to hear KK's take (knowing that KK would actually be digging into the facts). Had KK not had a major brain fart in making the Andy Reid statement (so dumb, so inapproriate...), he would have had a great day af the office.

Petro, "it's not a big deal"... ha ha
But I digress...
