Quite a day for K-State's newest 2016 addition. Read the full story here.
Also, I wanted to add something that didn't make the update and that's how Skylar sees his freshman year at K-State.
Obviously you'll still have Hubener, Ertz, and Delton in the mix come next summer but coaches have told Thompson that, like any freshman, they leave the option to redshirt in each individual's hands.
Here's what Skylar had to say in addition that...
"It's still way early, but I have a good feeling I’ll probably redshirt and I think that may be the right thing to do. It will allow me the proper time to get mentally and physically ready to go play this level of football."
"The coaches have told me they really wanted me for a reason and I'm good enough to come in and compete, but I know I still have to go improve though. Nothing is given, everything will be earned up there. So if I had to say now, I'd say redshirt."
