K-State has already reached out to Kelvin Sampson and he's not interested. Went on to say that a P5 D1 coach told him that the K-State job is the 9th best in the Big 12. Petro's opinion was that IF that was the case, it's only because K-State doesn't have an airplane for recruiting.
I don't believe the Sampson tidbit....nor do I like this out there (even if true). If we start doing this, then it's going to look like we settle for 4th or 5th option (like NU football fiasco from several years ago).
