Scalise? I hear constantly from people on this board that the GOP doesn't have a racial problem, that it's actually blacks who are the problem yet his actions (even if they are old) don't help. And I don't believe for one second that he didn't know the group's ideology. I am not saying he's racist at all, but this action doesn't exactly help the GOP's cause to create a larger tent (something most honest Republicans recognize as necessary) and it'll be interesting to see the House GOP's response to this - ignore or some form of punishment.
