So, much of the debate as to whether the federal government should regulate companies like Facebook and Twitter as it relates to the content on their sites has centered around the argument they are a "platform". Their execs have argued they shouldn't be liable for the information and mis-information on their sites because they are simply a platform for which people and companies can post content. They've stated they can't be reasonably expected to wade through everything on their sites to censor mis-information, hate speech, and other unsavory pieces of content. Well........that leads us to this week when Twitter decided to censor the NY Post's reporting on the Bidens' foreign dealings. Is Twitter this stupid? Or do they believe they are so big and powerful at this point, that Congress doesn't have the balls to declare them a publisher and reign them in?
