-Reaction to Dimel leaving? Surprised at first, just because of longevity. Snyder doesn't have a lot of turnover, so when it happens it's surprising. But, with all rumors about Snyder's future, at 55 y/o, Dimel saw this as possibly his last chance to be head coach.
-How will they handle OC going forward? Great opportunity for CK. Was calling plays and the OC at UNI.....so he's done it. He's our Scott Frost. And, Snyder is so involved so can be seemless. CK knows system and I think he'll do a great job (sure sounded like he knew something).
-How about basketball.....what do you think after 9 games? Generally positive. They are working very well together and trying to do the right things. Can count on 4 guys. Negative is rebounding. But, offensively, they are doing well and have cleaned up their game, turnover wise. I felt better after trip to Nashville. Wasn't big crowd, but they did really get into it. So was good to get out with win....and good experience for young guys.
-Tulsa will be good gauge as well. Not great, but can't mess around. They lost to Iowa State by two for reference point. I do think I see a difference in this team when they came back from Vandy, confidence wise. We'll see Saturday. I feel good about the team.
-Wouldn't script Vandy game to go like it did, but since it did, was really a good thing (the fact that they lost a big lead and had to hold on and make FT's to win). And at the very end, they were locked in on defense.
-I don't want to make a big deal about winning at Vandy, but I definitely saw a difference in the team when they came out against Upstate. I've seen it time and time again in football, but I know what confidence can do in sports.
