Talk to me folks. Would you happily take Steve as the next head coach of the Cats?

Personally, I would with open arms.

The guy has been mentored by one of the games best in Lon Kruger. He's been born and bred to be a Wildcat. Everything he has been taught to be a head coach, minus what his dad has instilled, has been past down all the way back to Hartman. It has worked at Kansas State.

He will bring a welcoming atmosphere to both players and fans alike. The team will be tough and gritty like their head coach and should connect well with their fanbase. Practices will be open and there will be a real connection with everyone. I would think this would bring excitement back to the program.

Just in his first season at San Antonio he has already doubled their win total from a season ago. Already proving he can take a tough situation and improve it quickly.

Let's also not forget he has more experience as a head coach at the Collegiate level then Frank Martin or Roy Williams ever did.

He may not be the first choice but I would gladly take coach Henson as the next Wildcat head coach because I think he brings something to the table other coaches might not and that's a true passion for Kansas State basketball.
