Targeting is such a BS, inconsistent call. Green gets hit with one that was very questionable, then watching the Wisconsin-Penn St. game, and they have a CLEAR targeting play that doesn’t get called on the field. Wisconsin then calls a TO to literally beg for them to review it and after a solid minute, the officials finally review it and indeed call it. But the officials had to be begged to look at it.
The biggest issues are the inconsistencies and ejections. Just penalize them and move on. And to make them miss half of the next game when it occurs in the 2nd half is beyond a joke. Joel Klatt was just going off during the game about how horrible targeting penalities are and he’s exactly right. And everyone knows it, except the NCAA. Do something about it.
