Texas Politics Expansion U of Houston

Texas Governor Greg Abbott may try to force Big 12 to take Houston. Governor Perry, who was an A&M grad, did nothing to stop A&M from leaving Big 12 but Governor Ann Richards contributed in pressuring Texas to not go to Big 8 without Baylor. Greg Abbott is not even an alumni of U of H, he went to Texas and Vanderbilt, but U of H mega-booster Tilman Fertitta donated a substantial sum of money to Abbott’s campaign in 2014.
