Took the highway to an afternoon meeting today. Was going 70 mph and the driver in lane to the left of me changed lanes to come into mine but didn't see I was already there. I swerved right to avoid the contact but she still hit me into right wall.
My vehicle then veered across all four lanes to the left and I smashed into the middle concrete walls before rolling twice in the highway. The whole time thinking when am i going to die, when is something really bad going to happen. I thought about my 1 year old girl, my wife...and then my vehicle came to a halt upright on its wheels.
I pushed my way out the jammed door and walked away with a few minor glass cuts and a sore shoulder (getting sorer as day goes on). Ended up going to ER and cat scan results came negative so no spinal injuries. I can't believe I walked away from this.
I feel very lucky and it's another reminder to kiss and hug your loved ones as you never know when tragedy can strike.
Sorry for Dear Facebook but I hate that thing ever since it became Dear Facebook for all those rubes out there.
Life is short. I need to get back for a Cats game this fall.
Counting my blessings this evening.
