they were superior on both lines LAST year and superior at the skill positions offensively and back seven defensively THIS year. They were far more successful this year. It shows you how the Big 12 is constructed. You don't win with line play (in the conference anyway) but you lose big in the postseason because that is what dictates other conferences.
In Clemson's blowout of OU last year they couldn't run the ball on OU (68 yards rushing on 42 carries) yet they won in a rout because OU couldn't pass the ball to save their lives. They struggled running the ball for much of the game but not like they did last night.
It seems like the Big 12 teams simply don't know how to play unless they have a really good QB.
