Over the past few weeks that we have done this, we posted about Holcombe playing a bigger role vs Oklahoma State, Jacardia Wright getting into the rotation vs Bowling Green, etc etc. We hope everyone makes this a must when looking for pregame updates.

Some good news first...

- There's a chance that both Cody Fletcher and Malik Knowles play today, we are told. Both have made good progress this week. It has been presented and framed to us as game-time decisions for both.

- Some not so good news. We learned significantly earlier in the week that Jordon Brown would not be available due to injury. I don't have much to share beyond that but it sounds like it has potential to be more than just this week.

At the same time, James Gilbert was still recovering from back-to-back physical games in Starkville and Stillwater and Trotter had been a little under the weather. That's not to say that Gilbert and Trotter won't play. They will. But there was a lot of practice reps this week for guys like Joe Ervin and Tyler Burns.

- Think there may have been more to the Holcombe thing than just his desire to be a QB. But that was certainly a good chunk of it. Don't have anything else to share on that topic other than that.

- It sounds like they finished this week with multiple excellent practices, which sounds a bit similar to what we had heard right before the Mississippi State game.

- Oh and the four official visitors are in town, in commits Jaelon Travis, Malachi Mitchell, Deuce Vaughn and Christian Moore.

- Finally, it's absolutely pouring in Manhattan this morning. Be safe coming in. I think it'll be dry for game time and hope to see everyone at the tailgate! Come say hi!
