I thought this was a really interesting piece on the significant increase of 3s in the NBA and how it has changed the game. The writer makes an argument for reigning it in and reviving the role of the more traditional bigs. A couple of his suggestions are intriguing, but the goaltending idea is pretty absurd.
I'd like to see how the corresponding numbers compare with the college game. The idea of adjusting the line based on player averages seems pretty reasonable.

During the 2018- 2019 regular season, NBA shooters made 27,955 3-point shots. That's more than they made during the entire 1980s (23,871).
