Angela Merkel just announced that Germany has approved a plan to allow for the import of Liquefied Natural Gas from the US following lobbying and pressure put on the Germans, by President Trump. Their government is even putting public funds to work, in the building of a transfer terminal.
This is important in two ways:
1) Opens up a major, major market for a growing export product of the US.
2) To some extent, lessens the Russians' influence over the energy markets in Europe.
Chalk another one up for the guy who actually knows what he's doing with Trade and the economy.
