I'm able to confirm that the recruitment of Mark Smith did indeed cool down the last few weeks before Smith committed to Mizzou. I did not initially know this, but I did suspect it and had posted a few times in the last few weeks things did seem oddly quiet on the Smith front. There was no contact or real attempt to set up a visit by either side after a lot of initial early interest.
The Parker Stewart interest both ways is real. Now, again, that doesn't mean K-State is going to land the kid. Tons of major programs are after Stewart, and it's going to be a major battle. But, for clarity, I'm sure there is interest beyond the Tweet that came out today.
