Just heard Pat Jones give a good Vince Gibson recruiting story.
On signing day Arkansas coaches were in the house of a Kansas recruit. They had the papers on the table ready to sign, but no one had a pen. After a few minutes of looking around, the kid & his mom went upstairs to their rooms to look for a pen. While up there Vince called & said "no matter what, do not sign anything until we get there, we're getting on a plane." A couple hours later Vince showed up at the house with 6-7 other coaches & the kid signed with KSU.
