I'll not get into the many things I liked about their campus in depth (red brick though, I'll take limestone) or the fact that I loved the proximity of Bryant-Denny relative to their Aggieville and downtown, and the fact that their 4 New Jardines (no tower dorms) and unbelievable Frats and Sororities are all so close to the stadium. (BTW condos starting at $1.5 million will be available right across the street in the very near future).
The real takeaway was: While the Mal Moore Athletic Building which is the home to Alabama Football has had some nice renovations on the inside and they have a pretty large weight room. It can't hold a candle to Vanier on any conceivable level from an architectural perspective. It is literally no contest, like a comparing a Toyota Camry to a Ferrari. Their practice fields are nice, but their indoor facility is nothing to write home about.
Any of the K-State people who say new Vanier just brought K-State up to a middling level, need a metaphoric albeit hearty General George Patton slap with a sturdy leather glove.
