Offense
-The O-Line looks improved from a year ago. I thought we looked overall better. I watched the center and guards in particular and they are doing great things on inside zone schemes. I thought pass protection was dominate, but again they did not bring a lot of guys. SD did not try to do anything fancy and we did play action some, but O-Line looked great for game 1 and some newer faces. There are roles on our zone schemes and I think backs with live game reps will catch on and that makes our offense go.

-Most disappointing I thought was running back. Multiple times Jones got taken down by arm tackles. He is not being patient and sometimes there were huge holes and he needs to put foot in ground and go.

-Gronk and Dimel is an awesome combo and two guys who run and block the right way. I think this will be a touchdown machine and something we have missed a bit.

-Heath seems very comfortable already. He ran his option routes well and seemed to have a good feel. I see him being a star. That catch he made with defender all over him was a dandy. Also not a liability in running game.

Defense
-I have been worried all week about the loss of Barnett. However, as I watched 2nd half in detail, Kendall Adams looked very good. He is a much better athlete than I remembered and maybe one of the most athletic safeties we have had. He has length and made multiple big plays at the LOS. I really liked a couple times how they walked him up, he read his key, squeezed down and formed up on running back. Good good stuff. When offenses get more difficult, I am curious how well he will do. If he can get lined up correctly and trust his keys, he has all the ability needed.

-I wasn't overly impressed with Burns. He relies on his speed too much and hoping he can get some of his minor technique flaws down.

-D-Line is flat dominant. The combination of Geary and Britz is a great run-stopping combo and excited to watch people try to run at them. I was very impressed with Britz pass rush as well and he even seems more athletic (mostly powerful) than a year ago.

-LB. I still think we can improve here. It was only game one, but they were great against the run, but still need to lower pad level. Get off blocks and fill windows quicker.
