The departures from K-State women's basketball continue, as forwards Gisela Sanchez and Imani Lester have both entered the transfer portal.
Sanchez averaged 4.2 points and 3.1 rebounds per game in 15.4 minutes per game. Her playing time was generally inconsistent, as she would either play a sizeable role off the bench or be a coach's decision DNP.
As a sophomore, Lester played 10.8 minutes per game, averaging 2.4 points and 2.7 rebounds per game. She was expected to be a bench contributor next season, potentially serving as the backup center.
As a result of the two transfers, the Wildcats have lost at least nine players from last season's roster to either graduation or the transfer portal. Currently, the only two rotation players returning next season are guard Taryn Sides (confirmed) and center Kennedy Taylor (pending an NCAA waiver). The other newcomers -- Alexis Hess and Mikayla Parks -- did not play last season.
