I, as well as others (@ccox), have been critical of some of the substitution patterns and combos Weber throws out on the floor.

Today, however, minus one SMALL stretch, the subs and patterns were acceptable IMHO.

We had 7 guys play the majority of the minutes with Budke getting 8 and Ervin getting 11.

Stokes 42 (great job; kid continues to impress me when I am already impressed)

Iwundu 40 (awesome against the pressure and really did a great job attacking in transition; only knock is 7 TOs, but he was the trigger man most of the game)

Wade 38 (started out slow but battled all game long - good to see; now continue building!)

Johnson 29 (would have played more had he not fouled out with a few minutes left; I really hope this is a trend that can continue for him)

Edwards 29 (his foot had to be bothering him; he doesn't have the explosion or quickness)

Brown 28 (got it going scoring and did fairly decent against pressure bringing the ball up a handful of possessions)

Hurt 25 (he didn't do much with his minutes)

Only downfall is that it went double OT. The minutes looked good.

Minimal contribution from Hurt and Edwards was the difference (other than the obvious - FT shooting). It was great to see the three freshman and Iwundu step up, but we can't have the two seniors have off nights like this often of we want to make a run in the conference.
