Klanderman is fond of saying "we're (still) a developmental program" to the media.
Are we going to be a developmental program on defense but recruit playable freshman on offense (especially skill positions) now?
That's the direction it's trending
With the upgrades of the offensive staff to bring in better recruiters the momentum there is wild (with 5.7 RBs climbing over each other to get in on an OV). I think it's certainly been helped by the top end of the local talent skewing towards offense.
Is the defense going to join the party? I'm not seeing momentum or urgency among coveted defensive recruits.
If not how does Klieman fix it?
Do we not have the right guys on the bus as assistant coaches to recruit at that level?
Is Klanderman not setting the aggressive tone with his "developmental program" message?
