Through a very odd set of circumstances I spent about 15 minutes today one-on-one with a very successful, current college basketball coach. We talked about his team...their chances in tournament play, who he has coming back etc.and then I asked him about K-State and I told him I was a big Brad Underwood fan. He said he has met Brad Underwood briefly but that he and Brad have a very close mutual friend.
This mutual friend said Brad turned down a $1 million dollar a year job last year at George Mason. He said he turned it down because he had a lot of talent coming back and that he had 'pretty strong assurances' that he would get an even bigger job this year.
I asked if it was K-State and he said: 'I don't know. K-State or something comparable'.
My guess would be TCU but who knows.
