I don't know where this hand thing originated, but it is not for me. It did not exist when I went to school (class 2000).
It seems to be a fairly regularly occurrence that someone gives me this "wc" hand when I happen to be wearing a K-State shirt or hat in public. I just respond with a smile and head nod. Maybe a "go cats" if I'm really in a good mood. I have not and will not return the hand gesture. My kids tell me I'm being rude.
What say you?
