Did KSU really lose that much with the departure of WHB contract? I'm not so sure it is really that significant.

(1) WHB is the major sports talk station in the KC market.
(2) WHB did NOT do KSU justice with the quality or quantity of KSU talk when they had the KSU contract
(3) WHB did show bias towards servicing the KU fan base--which by the way is the largest college demographic in KC
(4) WHB will discuss Royals and Chiefs over collegiate sports.
(5) KU basketball is the ONLY selling point at this time for KU sports. Luckily for KU it occurs at the exact time that Royals and Chiefs news is minimal
(6) WHB ROUTINELY cut from pre and post game coverage of KSU
(7) WHB signal not reliable at night

I predict that
(1) KU fans will not tune in for KU football and ratings for that segment disappoint
(2) WHB will eventually cut coverage of KU football related topics after poor ratings--Will KU fans still want to hear about KU football if they remain dismal?
(3) KU fans will eventually become disappointed in the quantity of KU basketball coverage WHB will provide. Remember--WHB already give s steady diet of KU basketball coverage.
(4) KSU will eventually find an outlet in KC
(5) Said outlet will at least equal WHB in quantity and quality of KSU programmng that they recieved from WHB.
(6) Most of the posters that are coming out in a frenzy are more worried about the perception of being uprooted by KU. While in all likelihood this is a minor blip in the KSU presence in KC.
