Was on the elevator this morning at the Hilton Garden Inn. Stopped on 2. An African-American kid and a white guy in his 50's get on. The kid has a lanyard and name tag around his neck. He's about 6'4" or 6'5" and at least 300. Maybe 320. I can't see his name tag but I can't quite make out the name and I don't want to stare. Conversation:
ME: Do you play for K-State?
KID: No sir, I'm a recruit.
ME: Cool, where are you from?
KID: Houston, sir.
ME: Did you have fun at the game?
KID: (big smile breaks out) Yes sir, I did.
ME: (as we get off elevator) Well, thank you for considering K-State. Good luck to you at whatever school you choose.
Any ideas who it was?
