Think it is a legitimate question as sad as it is to say. I have excluded:

Texas young FB coach trending up. Great recruiting. Top notch non revenue sports more money than God
WV. They got Huggs. Holgerson top 1/2 to 1/3rd finishes
TCU. Patterson nuff said. Dixon best b-ball coach hire since Bill Self
So that leaves the rest. Think it’s close between us and KU but their HOF coach still has a long runway. At least have one Blue blood program even if their Football is a dumpster fire. AD is incredibly bad but we haven’t really seen anything from ours to give us much comfort.
Baylor has a mess from football to clean up but women’s BB is one of the best. Basketball typically in the tournament every year playing for upper half to 1/3rd of Big 12 year after year.
Tech would have said close but their basketball program is on a big upswing. Their FB coach is a big ? mark but hey he’s got stunning good looks.
Where are we? A winning FB program but on a downward trend in recruiting with a coach that is year to year without a clear view to the future. Basketball program that is led by a perennial under achiever. Baseball program that has done absolutely nothing since 2012. Track and Field is great. Women’s BB is solid. An AD that we have no sense for his long range plan or capability to lead a major P5 athletic dept.
