Sorry guys. I hate to be the Debbie-downer here but what is the basis for the wildly optimistic predictions on the KSU defense?
Last year this defense was very bad at pass coverage and just average against the run. I do see the pass defense improving with the return of Barnett. But will it be enough to improve this team to the levels speculated?
The pass defense last year was so bad it has nowhere to go but up.
The run defense even with the loss of Britz should be comparable to last year.
Add into all of this that the depth on defense is razor thin. I feel that although the defense should not be as bad as last year there is a significant chance that it will not be good (or even average).
So, someone talk me into buying the massive improvemnt on the defense that the majority of posters are predicting.
