A minor update regarding upcoming content

Hey guys, as I write this I am currently in the ER waiting to be admitted for a gallbladder infection. This means surgery and a minor recovery.

Articles will be back, but it might take a little — I want to focus on recovery for now.

This also means that fall camp coverage will be slightly limited in the beginning weeks. I was planning on moving up the 1st and being there for all of camp. Now, the timing will likely me the middle of practice.

I hate doing this but my health has to take priority for now. I hope you understand and stick by us. Thank you.

Report: NCAA to increase scholarship limits for sports

According to Ross Dellenger of Yahoo, the NCAA is set to increase the scholarship limits for five different sports, including football and basketball.

The change will mean that schools can offer the following number of scholarships per sport:

Football: 105 (20 more than the current limit)
Basketball: 15 (2 more than the current limit in men's basketball)
Baseball: 34 (22.3 more than the current limit)
Volleyball: 18
Softball: 25

There are also other sports that will may see increases in scholarship limits.

This is a pretty major move that could have impacts on high school recruiting and the transfer portal for football and basketball. The baseball increase is significant, as it will allow for a full roster of scholarship players.

K-State makes the top 7 for 5-star G Meleek Thomas

K-State has been recruiting Thomas hard since last season, but haven’t been viewed as the favorite at any point. Currently, UConn is the perceived favorite in the clubhouse.

However, if K-State can nail down a visit before he commits, things could get interesting. K-State always trusts themselves if they get a guy on campus before he commits — and I can’t blame them.
