We started 2018 with 0 scholarships to give. We ended up signing 2 and dropping 3 players from the team, leaving 1 scholarship unused. Starting with no open scholarships and finishing with at least 1 (possibly 2 depending on Williams and the clearinghouse) makes me think that we mismanaged the situation. I don't think the last scholarship player would have a major impact on this season, but it being left empty does deplete our depth and overall talent. I am not upset about chasing Kevin McCullar, but I do think it is unfortunate that we did not have a Plan B. It seems like a waste to let a schollie go unfilled.
